Algae cultivation
Cultivation systems at sea and in controlled production environments.
From water and algae, toward regenerative cycles.
AMAN IMAN is a new initiative born within Seafood Fukui Co., Ltd. Starting from water, algae, and marine resources, it connects ecosystems, regional industries, and material cycles, shaping models of regional circularity.
Gently reweaving the relationships between water, life, and industry.
01 - About
AMAN IMAN comes from a saying of Saharan nomads, often rendered as “Water is life.” For us, it is more than a phrase. It is a way of seeing: water, life, material cycles, human well-being, and industry are not separate things, but deeply interwoven.
AMAN IMAN is a new business and research collaboration initiative born within Seafood Fukui Co., Ltd. Starting from water, algae, and marine resources, it connects ecosystems, regional industries, and material flows, nurturing models of regional circularity.
Across food, aquaculture, materials, environmental technologies, and regional industries, it moves ideas into practice, drawing on working experience to give form to future industries.
Our work does not follow a single linear plan. It evolves through relationships among researchers, companies, regions, materials, ecosystems, and emerging business models.
02 - Vision
A way of living in which the health of people is inseparable from the health of water, ecosystems, and material cycles.
Seeing water not only as a resource, but as a field where relation, renewal, and transformation arise.
Connecting local industries, ecosystems, and material flows into new circular forms.
Carrying this vision into aquaculture, materials, environmental technologies, and regional practice.
03 - Mission
Examine, with care, the regenerative possibilities of algae and aquatic ecosystems.
Work with local sites, research institutions, companies, and regional partners to grow new knowledge and practice.
Carry ideas into pilot projects, business models, and practical implementation.
Design flows where industry, ecology, materials, and human well-being support one another.
Expand practical connections across research, industry, and regional knowledge.
04 - Focus Areas
Starting from water, algae, and material cycles, these fields grow through relationships among research, industry, ecosystems, and regions.
Cultivation systems at sea and in controlled production environments.
Water as a living field of relation and renewal.
Developing possibilities for algae-based materials and biomass utilization.
Extending the value of seaweed and algae beyond conventional food categories.
Models that connect local industries, ecosystems, and material flows.
Partnerships that carry knowledge from research to pilot projects and implementation.
05 - From Seafood Fukui
Seafood Fukui Co., Ltd. sources marine raw materials, while processing and sales are carried out by its wholly owned subsidiary, Fukui Co., Ltd. Through these two fields of practice, it has accumulated long-standing knowledge of the sea and its materials.
AMAN IMAN was born from within that working experience. From this ground, it extends into research collaboration, pilot projects, material development, environmental technologies, and regional initiatives.
